Sun, July 6 – Sun Aug 31: Sunday School Summer Changes
To improve the quality of our Kids Ministry and ensure attendance in all age groups, we are offering Sunday School during 9:30am services only, for the months of July and August. This is a trial period before a permanent decision on this is made. This includes all age groups (Nursery thru 12th grade programs). During 11am services, Nursery and Preschool will be available for children ages 0-4 years old. We encourage you to bring your children at 9:30am for great lessons and fun! Questions or concerns? Thurs, Aug 28- Mon Sep 1: Mexico Part II: School is in Session
A large number of folks have just returned from an amazing trip to Mexico; building two houses in three days! But we are stepping it up! Grace is going back to Mexico over Labor Day weekend to build a school on the same hillside as we built the homes in early July. Please continue to pray for this group of volunteers and the work they will be doing in Tecate.

Sat, Aug 30: Breakfast at Carpenter’s Shelter
Every 5th Saturday of the month volunteers from GCC cook and serve a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes and more at this shelter for homeless families in Alexandria. It is a great opportunity to serve our local community! The group starts cooking at 7am and serves breakfast at 8am. Interested? Email Brenda@trygrace.org to sign up! .

Sun, Sept 7: Kids Promotions Sunday
September is back to school month! So in the spirit of the season, we will do Sunday School promotions for all those going to Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 6th grade and 9th grade during the 930am service.

Oct 12 -13: Men’s Water Rafting Trip
For men only! A physical and spiritual challenge. White water rafting in the Gauley River in WV! Every man will be responsible for some part of the trip. Deadline to register/payment is July 27th. Adventure will begin on October 12th after Sunday service. Cost is $148 per person. Interested? Contact David Snee at dsnee@alionscience.com.

Sat, Oct 18: Annual Grace Golf Tournament
Come out and play at the 5th Annual Grace Golf Tournament set for Sat, Oct 18 from 12:00n – 5:00pm at Osprey Golf Course near Woodbridge, VA. This is an event for ALL golf levels. A day of fun and fellowship in the Fall! Lunch will be provided. Proceeds will go to benefit our Mexico Missions Trips. Interested? Contact Robb Severn severn@bctd.org.

Nov 7 – 11: Appalachia Service Project
Grace is heading back to Appalachia in Kentucky for our 4th time in under 2 years. We’ll spend Veteran’s Day weekend rebuilding and fixing up some impoverished homes in one of the poorest areas in our country. Interested? Contact josh@trygrace.org.

Mar 28 – Apr 11, 2009: Missions Trip to Thailand
Join Grace Community Church in a fantastic missions opportunity in Thailand! Grace is partnering with Southern Cross to put together a mission trip to reach mainland Chinese tourists on the beaches of Pattaya, Thailand. March 28-April 11, join Grace for just one week or the full two weeks on the beautiful beaches of tropical Thailand as we share our love of Jesus with people who may have never even heard his name.
