Fri, Mar 12: Fanning the Flames of Your Marriage
Calling all married couples! Come enjoy a good meal followed by a teaching on some simple things you can do to strengthen your marriage. The session will include a practical communication tool that you will be able to use in your marriage relationship. This event goes from 7-9pm and is being hosted by a couple in Arlington. To ensure we have room for everyone who will be coming to Grace leading up to Easter, we will be offering three 45-minute services at 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am. The new schedule for kids and families is: 9:30am - nursery thru 8th grade; 10:30am - nursery thru preschool and high school; 11:30am - nursery.

Mon, Mar 15: Celebrate Recovery
Grace has started a Celebrate Recovery group that meets Monday nights at 6pm at the church office in Ballston (1031 N. Vermont St.). This is a safe place to get real about your hurts, habits and hang-ups. It is a Christ-centered and Bible-based program which focuses on God's healing power through fellowship with others. Mon, Mar 15: Get Out of that Pit Book Study
Are you a woman dealing with disordered eating? A group of women are working through Beth Moore's "Get Out of that Pit" - a book about God's deliverance when it comes to addiction and hopelessness. We're not going to talk about diets, body image, calories or weight. We're going to talk the Bible and grace (and maybe shoes) and we'll encourage each other. Group meets Mon nights in Arlington. Tues, Mar 16: The Case for Faith Discussion Group
Do you have questions and doubts? You're far from alone! Join the discussion about a book that tackles head-on questions that have perplexed people for years. Questions such as: 'If there's a loving God why is there pain and suffering?' and 'If I have doubts, can I still be a Christian?' The group meets Tuesdays at 8pm in Arlington. Wed, Mar 17: Mid-Week Music
Starting 3/10, join us Wed nights from 7-7:30pm for a time of worship led by members of the Grace worship team. The service will be held in the sanctuary upstairs from the Grace church offices at First Baptist Ballston, 1031 N Vermont St, Arlington 22201.

Wed, Mar 17: Missions Prayer Meeting
Come out to the church office from 7:30-8:00pm to pray for our missionaries, service efforts and worldwide injustice. Info: josh@trygrace.org.

Sun, Mar 21: Barefoot Sunday
Link arms with people around the world fighting injustice by giving back to those in need. Grace is teaming up with Soles for Souls to provide shoes for our neighbors in Haiti. Please bring new or gently used shoes and leave them at Key School. If interested in spreading our efforts to your work place or school, please contact josh@trygrace.org.

Sun, Mar 21: Adult Sunday School
Starting March 21st during the 10:30am service, you are invited to join the adult Sunday school class upstairs in room 317. Our hope is to go deeper into scripture and discuss relevant topics such as social justice, discipleship, and knowing who God is and how God works.

Sat, Apr 17: Red Zone Men's Conference
Super Bowl Coach Tony Dungee is coming to Upper Marlboro, MD (about an hour from DC). He is joining with other NFL coaches and speakers for a men's conference from 8am-5pm. This is a live event aimed "to push you through your Red Zone and into the End Zone." Tickets are $29 each. Contact Chris at cjmcadoo@gmail.com.

April 23-24, 2010: World Vision 30-Hr Famine/Camping Trip
Calling all teenagers 7th-12th grade! Teens and youth leaders will be camping and fasting for 30 hours to raise awareness to end world hunger. Funds raised will benefit Haiti earthquake relief. For more info, contact brenda@trygrace.org.

July 16-18: Grace BBQ and Campout
Come out for some sun n' fun at beautiful Lake Fairfax (20 min from Arlington). Saturday activities include a lakeside BBQ and optional boating, fishing, hiking, and swimming at the Water Mine family waterpark. July 8 - 13th, 2010: Youth Missions Trip
Calling all teenagers 7th - 12th grade! We will be going back to Tecate, Mexico to build a basketball court for the El Florido community where Grace has built homes and schools before. Contact josh@trygrace.org for details!

Helping Refugees and Asylum Seekers
Interested in helping legal refugees and asylum seekers who are new to the US? Sign up to welcome our new neighbors and help them adjust to a new culture, as well as give them a friend in the USA. Serving Breakfast at the Carpenter's Shelter
Want to make a difference in your hometown? We're serving breakfast two Sundays a month at the Carpenter's Shelter in Alexandria (7-9am; you can still make first service!). We're looking for volunteers who can commit to serving on a regular basis and for a few who want to check it out when available. Interested? Contact josh@trygrace.org.

Volunteer at Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC)
Looking to help those in need? Check out these ongoing opportunities to help the hungry: Saturdays and Sundays 1pm-3pm: help unload and repack donated produce. Saturday mornings: deliver ice-chests to the farmers market. Mon-Fri: Warehouse work and/or office work. Contact Laura at afaclaura@aol.com if interested.
